"Life Gifted at 50: 20 Years of Effort Realized Through Egg Donation"
2024/04/02

Ms. W is 50 years old this year. She has become one of the cases of pregnancies in older individuals at our facility. Our medical team shares in the joy with the couple, viewing this result not merely as a number, but as a culmination of years of effort and hope. We are currently continuing to provide support to ensure a safe progression, while considering the risks associated with advanced maternal age.
Ms. W has desired to become pregnant for about 20 years and has undergone in vitro fertilization at multiple medical facilities, but so far she has not been able to conceive. At the end of last year, she happened to come across our clinic's information on Facebook and, driven by her wish to have a child once again, she reached out to us for advice regarding egg donation. She had previously experienced an ectopic pregnancy and had her right fallopian tube removed. Examination results revealed that the left fallopian tube was also difficult to pass due to adhesions. Considering these factors, Ms. W and her husband chose in vitro fertilization (IVF) through egg donation. The center's staff supported them with the procedures, matching, and various tests, allowing them to proceed with the treatment.
After that, she became pregnant within three months. Ms. W said, "I truly love children. I want to nurture new life with my husband and watch them grow together. I believe this result is a result of not giving up and continuing to move forward for 20 years."
