  • Is it possible to find out about the donor's characteristics?

    Yes, it is possible. If you have any specific preferences, please let the medical institution know, and they will do their best to find a donor that meets your requirements.

  • What should I do if I have questions or problems during the treatment?

Risk and ethical issues

  • If I receive egg donation, will I definitely be able to get pregnant?

    Pregnancy is not guaranteed. According to government statistics, the overall birth rate for egg donation is approximately 43.7%. Even with eggs from a young donor, the success of pregnancy depends on the condition of the uterus and the quality of the sperm.


    However, at our hospital, we conduct thorough pre-evaluations for couples who wish to donate eggs and implement egg donation programs tailored to each individual. As a result, we have an 85% success rate for pregnancies and a cumulative success rate of 99%, allowing many couples to welcome a new life with peace of mind.

  • Is there a possibility that the donor is actually a relative of my husband?

    No. Before formally starting treatment, the medical institution will submit information on both parties to the National Health Agency to confirm that they are not relatives within the fourth degree of kinship.

  • Is there a possibility that the donor's descendants could marry my child?

    The possibility is extremely low. According to Article 10 of Taiwan's Artificial Reproduction Law, the same egg donor can only provide to one recipient couple, and if pregnancy occurs, the remaining germ cells are discarded in accordance with the law.


    According to a government survey, the probability of inbreeding occurring is estimated at 1 in 50 million, a number far lower than the probability of winning the lottery.


    Furthermore, the government offers a "System for Inquiring into the Kinship of Artificially Reproduced Children," which makes it possible to confirm blood relations with one's romantic partner.
