Azoospermia Treatment

Azoospermia Treatment

What is azoospermia?

Azoospermia (a condition in which there are no sperm at all in the semen) accounts for approximately 10-15% of male infertility cases. However, this does not necessarily mean that pregnancy is impossible. With proper diagnosis and treatment, many men have a chance to become fathers.

There are two types of azoospermia.

  • Obstructive azoospermia: Sperm are produced normally, but the vas deferens is blocked, preventing the release of semen.
  • Non-obstructive azoospermia: Sperm cannot be produced normally due to testicular dysfunction, chromosomal abnormalities, hormonal imbalances, etc.

Who should consider counseling for azoospermia?

People whose semen analysis does not reveal any sperm

Those who have previously undergone vas deferens ligation and wish to reproduce again.

People who are scheduled to undergo chemotherapy or radiation therapy

Those who are unable to conceive naturally after marriage and are suffering from unexplained infertility.

Why don't you start by consulting with the medical team?
